Ubisoft’s Champions Tactics is Now Available!

Champions Tactics, Ubisoft’s first web3 game, has been formally released. In order to fight, players establish teams of three Champions, each of whom is represented by a different figurine with distinctive characteristics.

Game Mechanics and Features

Champions Tactics includes two primary modes: player versus environment (PvE) and player versus player (PvP). While PvP battles are available now, the PvE component is set to launch in the near future. Players can earn in-game currency, Gold, through competitive matches. This Gold is vital for crafting and upgrading Champions, enhancing teams, and improving overall chances of victory. Champions Tactics operates on the Oasys blockchain and utilizes two NFT categories: Warlords and Champions. Warlords serve as unique profile pictures (PFPs) and provide access to upcoming game content, including early access to alphas, betas, and new mints. Notably, owning a Warlord NFT increases in-game earnings, making it a sought-after asset for dedicated players.

Currently, there are 9,995 Warlord NFTs available, trading at a floor price of approximately 0.35 ETH (around $100 USD) on secondary markets like OpenSea. Players aiming to earn within the game must possess their Champions. However, the game also offers non-earning Ethereal Champions for players who prefer a no-investment experience.

Ubisoft has started two fun promotions to celebrate the release of Champions Tactics. The Warlords giveaway is the first, and the 30 Champions Giveaway, which awards players with a total of 30 Champions—three Champions for each winner—is the second.
