SportsVisio Secures $3.2 Million to Expand AI Sports Platform Across More Games and Regions

Sports tech company SportsVisio has raised $3.2 million in new funding as it looks to grow its AI-powered platform to more sports and users around the world. The funding brings its total capital raised to $9 million, and the company plans to use the investment to enter new markets, broaden its sports offerings, and strengthen sales and marketing.

The round saw participation from a mix of new and existing backers. Sony Innovation Fund, Mighty Capital, Alumni Ventures, Waterstone Impact Fund, and several angel investors contributed, while repeat investors like Sapphire Sport, Hyperplane, and Sovereign’s Capital also joined. Sony’s involvement reflects a continued interest in blending entertainment and sports tech. Austin Noronha from Sony Ventures said the platform is helping reshape how younger and amateur athletes engage with sports content.

Mighty Capital’s general partner Jennifer Vancini highlighted the platform’s strength in combining advanced AI with easy-to-use tools, which has helped drive consistent user engagement.

SportsVisio is currently active in basketball and volleyball but is preparing to enter new sports such as baseball. The platform already serves teams from youth level to professional, and the company now aims to increase its international presence.

CEO Jason Syversen explained that the goal is to deliver useful performance insights to both athletes and coaches. The new investment will allow the company to scale its technology and roll out new features that make in-game and post-game analysis more accessible.

Recent updates include tools tailored for specific sports. A newly launched “Coach Mode” provides real-time stats and game behavior tracking, while new AI-powered features have been added for volleyball and 3×3 basketball, including automatic highlight clips and deeper performance analysis.

Currently, SportsVisio is in use by more than 150 teams and leagues across 16 countries. With growing demand for AI tools in sports performance and fan engagement, the company is positioning itself to become a go-to platform for both coaching staff and players.
