A recent report analyzing TikTok viewership data has revealed that Garena Free Fire significantly leads in terms of total view counts. This free-to-play battle royale game doesn’t just outperform its competitors on TikTok—it completely overshadows them.
Garena Free Fire’s dominance on TikTok is astonishing. The game sits at the top with 888 billion views across 87.3 million videos, averaging around 10,000 views per video. This places Free Fire far ahead of its competition by hundreds of billions of views.
In comparison, Roblox, a highly creative and diverse game, holds the second spot with 595 billion views but fewer uploads at 66 million videos. Fortnite follows closely in third with 591 billion views and 60 million videos. Battle royale games clearly dominate the top spots on TikTok, with titles like Free Fire, Fortnite, PUBG Mobile, PUBG, and Warzone all making it into the top fifteen.
Esports-focused games don’t enjoy the same level of popularity on TikTok. For instance, VALORANT has 116 billion views, outperforming other top esports titles such as Counter-Strike 2, which has 59.7 billion views. Dota 2 and Overwatch 2 lag further behind with 24 billion and 23.6 billion views respectively.
Single-player games also struggle to achieve similar view counts. Here are some notable examples:
Interestingly, Free Fire Max, the survival version of Free Fire, has significantly fewer views, ranking 66th with just 7.6 billion views. Another intriguing comparison is between Fallout and Starfield. Despite Starfield being a newer release, Fallout 4 is more popular on TikTok, boasting 3.9 billion views compared to Starfield’s 1.7 billion views.
