Eternal League, a roguelike action RPG built by Eternal Squares, blends sci-fi storytelling with Web3 features. The game lets players customize heroes, explore neon cities and post-apocalyptic zones, and experiment with a rune-driven glyph system that reshapes abilities. It also integrates NFTs, giving players a chance to trade and enhance in-game gear.
Good to know
Eternal Squares confirmed that the project is on indefinite hold due to difficulties in raising new investment. The development team has been reassigned to other projects while Eternal League remains in maintenance mode.
The studio shared a heartfelt message with its community:
“We are sorry to deliver this news, as we put our hearts and souls into the game. We hope that we will find [a] solution, or find a way to bring other great projects in the future, and I’ll keep you all posted in the server as we are committed to run the Discord until the servers for Eternal League are up and running. Huge thanks from the Eternal League Team!”
Even with development paused, Eternal League will stay online until late 2025. Current events such as the Immutable Play Leaderboard continue to reward competitive players. Prizes are tied to leaderboard performance, with additional weekly rewards distributed randomly.
