Share

Blockchain developer Aptos Labs has announced a major development: an extension of their collaboration with Google Cloud. The aim is to include GameStack, the unified live service platform from Aptos, into the Google Cloud environment. With the help of an extensive backend infrastructure and strong analytics, this calculated move seeks to enable developers to easily construct, monetize, and distribute their web3 games.

Jack Buser, Google’s director for games and strategic industries, has expressed high levels of enthusiasm about the collaboration. He emphasized the transformative potential of Aptos GameStack, stating, “Games of any kind can now easily harness the power of web3 technology with Aptos GameStack. Our partnership with Aptos Labs elevates the player benefits of Web3 technology into the mainstream.”

One of the key offerings of GameStack is its compatibility with Unity APIs, allowing for seamless integration of wallets, transactions, and other web3 functionalities. This enhances the interactivity and overall player experience in games. Additionally, GameStack has introduced a new token standard for building, crafting, and evolving digital assets on-chain, significantly reducing minting costs.

To improve user accessibility, GameStack includes a Web2-friendly sign-on experience, enabling users to link their existing profiles, such as Facebook and Gmail, while ensuring data protection through Aptos-native enterprise-grade security measures. Moreover, Aptos Labs has established a dedicated support team available 24/7 to address any concerns or issues that may arise, further enhancing the support infrastructure for developers.
