Jack Dorsey said on Tuesday that Bitcoin will replace the dollar in response to a tweet by rapper Cardi B.

The rapper asked her 20.5 million followers if crypto would replace the U.S. currency, to which Dorsey surprisingly replied “Yes, Bitcoin will.”

The former CEO of Twitter and current head of Block, formerly known as Square, is a big supporter of crypto, especially Bitcoin and has been open about his endorsement for the top cryptocurrency in the past years.

Dorsey ended his time with the social media giant last month so that he could focus entirely on Block with which he has ambitious plans. In his last moments at Twitter, the platform launched Bitcoin tipping service and revealed the introduction of NFT authentication.
