Former U.S. President Donald Trump’s cryptocurrency investments have reached another milestone, exceeding $10 million as of May 27.
Data from ArkhamIntel shows that Trump’s holdings in the $TRUMP meme coin are valued at $7.3 million, making up the bulk of his crypto assets. Additionally, Trump holds over 463 Ethereum (ETH), currently worth about $1.8 million. Notably, he does not hold any Bitcoin (BTC).
The value of the TRUMP coin, a political meme coin on the Solana blockchain, has surged over 60% in the past week, now priced at $12.40. This rise has significantly boosted the overall value of Trump’s crypto portfolio.
Trump has voiced support for cryptocurrency during his latest campaign. While he expressed skepticism about Bitcoin in 2019, calling it “highly volatile,” his current stance is more favorable. At a recent rally, Trump stated, “Crypto is moving out of the U.S. because of hostility toward it. I don’t want that. If we are going to embrace it, we will have to let them be here.”
On May 21, Trump’s campaign introduced a fundraising page that accepts donations in various cryptocurrencies available on Coinbase. This move indicates his openness to integrating crypto into his political strategies.
Most recently, on May 26, Trump announced his support for appealing Ross Ulbricht’s conviction. Ulbricht is the founder of the Silk Road, an infamous online marketplace dismantled in 2013.
