AMC Considering Both Shiba Inu and Dogecoin for Payments.

AMC Entertainment’s CEO, Adam Aron, put up another poll on Twitter Friday asking the crypto community if the largest movie theatre company in the U.S. should include ‘Doge killer’ Shiba Inu (SHIB) as a payment option.

As of April this year, AMC owned or operated approximately 950 theatres and 10,500 screens worldwide.

At the time of writing, 121,566 votes were in with 79.5% saying they absolutely want Shiba Inu to be an option.

Aron’s first poll on Twitter was in September, when he consulted the public whether AMC Theatres should be accepting the leading meme coin of the time, Dogecoin. After 77% voted in support of Dogecoin, Aron stated on Twitter:

AMC also announced in September that it would be accepting Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash “for online ticket and concession payments by year-end 2021.”

In October, the AMC CEO revealed that gift cards are available after partnering with BitPay.

Currently, Shiba Inu has surpassed Dogecoin and is trading hands at $0.00007418 with market capitalization of $40.73 billion. Dogecoin is priced at $0.2896 with $38, 07 billion in circulation according to CoinMarketCap.
