WEMADE will launch the global version of Legend of YMIR on Steam on April 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM KST. The release gives the company a bigger PC distribution channel as it looks to grow the MMORPG audience worldwide.
Good to Know
Rather than treating Steam as just another storefront, WEMADE is using it as a central part of the global plan for Legend of YMIR. The company said the platform should help it reach more PC players, improve accessibility, and support a more durable user base over time.
The Steam version also arrives with a large content update. WEMADE will add Rune Fighter, a new combat class built around rune powers and a more flexible fighting style. That addition is meant to give new players another entry point while also giving existing users fresh content.
In simple terms, WEMADE is pairing distribution with gameplay expansion at the same time. That gives the launch more weight than a standard platform release and helps position Legend of YMIR as a larger global PC franchise.
Michael Kim, Head of Game Business Division, WEMADE, said:
“Our goal is to provide a premium PC gaming experience that lives up to the standards of the Steam community. Launching on a new platform alongside the ‘Rune Fighter’ expansion marks the beginning of a new era for our players.”
For WEMADE, the Steam release also matters because PC gaming platforms with large built in audiences can help MMORPG publishers keep acquisition costs lower while improving long term visibility. With Legend of YMIR, the company is clearly aiming for broader reach, stronger retention, and a more established place in the global PC gaming market.
