Bored Button Goes Live with Over 130 Mobile Games

Share

Unite has launched its web3 gaming platform, Bored Button, to bring casual mobile games to a wider audience. The platform is already live on Android and iOS, and supports browser-based access as well. Unite, built on Base as a layer 3 network, is aiming to grow its presence in blockchain-powered mobile gaming by focusing on casual titles and simplified access.

Bored Button gives players access to over 130 games, all free to play. You can download the app on Android through the Play Store, where it has already crossed 5 million installs. It’s also available on iOS, including iPads, and can be installed on Windows through Google Play. The web version works too, though some games function better on mobile.

Daily Rewards and Future Features

While the platform promotes earning daily rewards and gift cards, not all features seem to be active yet. Unite has claimed users can collect “daily rewards, prizes, and even tokens,” with future plans to offer gift cards from brands like Amazon, Apple, Google, Spotify, Starbucks, and Adidas. However, these options appear to be limited or pending implementation.

A community moderator on Unite’s Discord said the app does generate a wallet automatically and rewards users for time spent playing and watching ads. But user experience varies. The current version of the app, last updated in late January, does not reflect the newly promised web3 features. There’s no visible wallet, profile system, or reward tracking inside the app for many users.

That said, it’s possible that blockchain features are on the way. Updates could roll out soon to bring the advertised play and earn mechanics into the app more clearly.

$UNITE Token Airdrop

The Unite ecosystem is expected to launch its $UNITE token, but so far, there’s no official link between Bored Button gameplay and a token airdrop. Discord messages from team members confirm that no play to airdrop campaign has been announced yet.

For those looking to secure a spot in a potential token distribution, Unite has pointed users toward a different project: League of Llamas, a Telegram-based game also under Unite’s layer 3 network.

Although Bored Button might not offer crypto rewards today, some players are still giving it a try in hopes that early activity will be rewarded later.
