Good to Know

  • Pi Network Ventures backs the partnership
  • First HTML5 gaming platform tests arrive in early 2026
  • Games will integrate Pi payments and rewards

Pi Network has partnered with CiDi Games to bring web3 gaming deeper into its ecosystem. The deal, announced on November 27, focuses on titles that connect directly with Pi features such as payments, wallets, and ads. Pi Network Ventures is supporting the rollout with a fresh investment aimed at accelerating development.

A Growing Plan For Pi Powered Games

The partnership tries to give developers easier tools while giving Pioneers more reasons to use Pi inside casual and social gameplay. Pi functions as a global social network already, so games fit naturally with the community. Earlier this year, Pi tested the idea with FruityPi, a small title that used Pi Wallet, Pi Payments, and the Pi Ad Network. That early test showed how gaming can link with real Pi actions.

Pi Network started in 2019 with mobile mining through a simple daily tap and later launched its Open Mainnet in February 2025. CiDi Games, focused on Pi-based titles, is building an HTML5 game platform that works in any browser, including low-end devices, with testing planned for early 2026.

Tools And Features For Developers And Players

CiDi will build games with Pi payments, rewards, item purchases, and social interaction built in. The studio is also creating APIs and frameworks that let other developers plug into Pi more easily. These tools will make it simpler to handle Pi logins, payments, ad placements, and in-game economies.

Pi Network Ventures invests in projects that help Pi grow through actual use cases, and CiDi adds experience in web3-focused game development. Both teams say games match well with Pi’s large community because regular play creates more activity, more spending, and more reasons for users to return.

First tests of the new HTML5 gaming platform are scheduled for the first quarter of 2026, with more updates expected as development moves along.
