Immutable Finds New Ally in Blockchain Gaming: Amazon Web Services

Immutable, a leading figure in the blockchain gaming domain, has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to simplify the development of infrastructure for crypto gaming. Their mutual aim? Making the process of creating and expanding blockchain games a breeze for developers.

This collaboration means that Immutable is now part of AWS’s ISV Accelerate Program. This program is designed for firms integrating AWS services within their product lineup. A major advantage for game developers? Those utilizing the Immutable X blockchain, which is compatible with Ethereum, can tap into AWS Activate. This initiative provides startups with essential support, including a potential credit of up to $100,000 in AWS offerings and additional resources.

Jason Suen, Immutable’s Chief Commercial Officer, stated, “We’re thrilled about our participation in the AWS ISV Accelerate and AWS Activate programs. This partnership lets us offer game developers a straightforward path to craft and expand web3 games rapidly.”

Further echoing the significance of gaming in the blockchain world, AWS’s Head of Startups, John Kearney mentioned, “Gaming is rapidly evolving within the blockchain sphere.” Although Kearney refrained from revealing the exact number of crypto companies in the AWS ISV Accelerate Program, he emphasized that joining requires being a member of AWS’s Partner Network and satisfying other criteria.

On the topic of blockchain games, while Kearney kept his cards close to his chest about AWS’s exact position, he mentioned that numerous game studios are investigating crypto tech’s potential. He’s excited about what might emerge from these explorations. AWS’s collaboration with the Blockchain Game Alliance further strengthens its commitment to the sector.

For those unfamiliar, AWS delivers a plethora of services. In the realm of gaming, they provide game servers, cloud gaming facilities, protective measures, analytics, and even delve into the AI and machine learning segments for video games.

But Immutable isn’t alone in its collaboration with AWS. Earlier in the year, Avalanche reported its association with the AWS Partner Network and AWS Activate. They now offer the Avalanche subnet as a service on the AWS marketplace.

To round it off, both the well-established Immutable X and the anticipated Immutable zkEVM are Ethereum expansion networks. These platforms endorse crypto games such as Immutable’s very own Gods Unchained and Guild of Guardians, and they’re in good company with titles like Illuvium, MetalCore, and Cross the Ages.
