HYTOPIA has unveiled its first major Creator Fund partnership, selecting IROC Studios — a veteran Roblox developer — to build Pawtopia, a voxel-style pet collection and exploration game. The collaboration kicks off HYTOPIA’s new $125,000 Creator Fund, which supports studios bringing fresh, community-driven experiences to the platform.
Good to know
With over 15 years of experience and a portfolio of Roblox hits, IROC Studios has built a reputation for interactive, social games that keep players coming back. Game Store Tycoon, its most famous title, has surpassed 110 million plays and fostered a thriving fan community. That background made the studio a strong fit for HYTOPIA’s vision for its Creator Fund — games that combine creativity, replayability, and community engagement.
Pawtopia will let players roam colorful worlds — from lush forests to crystal caverns and mountain trails — while collecting voxel-style pets. These pets range from everyday animals to mythical creatures, each with abilities that unlock new areas, uncover hidden loot, and help players progress. As pets travel and adventure with their owners, they level up and gain strength, creating a sense of long-term progression.
The Creator Fund offers up to $25,000 per approved team, paid in five milestone-based installments from concept to final delivery. Developers keep 75% of all primary and secondary sales revenue and receive hands-on support for engineering and marketing. Grants are non-dilutive, meaning creators keep full ownership of their IP.
To qualify, studios must have previously launched a successful game with over 10 million Roblox plays or at least 100,000 mobile downloads. Teams also need a 3D modeler, an animator, and a JavaScript or TypeScript developer. HYTOPIA plans to work with five to ten studios in its initial three-month development round.
The IROC Studios partnership comes during a period of transformation for HYTOPIA. The company has formed the HY Foundation in the Cayman Islands and is moving from its Hychain network to Coinbase’s Base Layer-2, aiming for lower costs and improved infrastructure. This migration will introduce the $HYBUX token, with existing $TOPIA holders set to receive a 1:2 airdrop.
