Hero Esports’ premier multi-title esports event, the HERO ESPORTS Asian Champions League (ACL), has formally added VALORANT to its debut lineup. With this news, there are now seven featured games overall, and more are anticipated soon.
Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), Honor of Kings, Teamfight Tactics, Delta Force, and Crossfire were the first six titles released by ACL. ACL’s position as a dominant power in Asian esport is further cemented with the addition of VALORANT, which increases the event’s competitive appeal.
Winners of the CS2 and Honor of Kings competitions will receive direct entry into the international competition thanks to ACL’s continued cooperation with the Esports World Cup. In the upcoming months, more partnerships for more event titles should be revealed.
In the first half of 2025, China will host the sole international-level VALORANT competition, the ACL VALORANT Tournament, which will attract top teams from all over the world. With top-notch production and cutting-edge broadcasting technology to improve the viewing experience, the final will be held offline in Shanghai.
The ACL is set to run in early 2025, with the CS2 and Honor of Kings finals scheduled for May. The tournament boasts a $2 million prize pool, making it one of the region’s most lucrative esports competitions.
Jonny Wang, CEO of the Asian Champions League, emphasized the tournament’s vision, stating, “We are excited to announce the addition of VALORANT to the ACL. Our ambition is to make ACL into a truly comprehensive tournament, providing a larger stage for players and teams across various competitions while delivering more exciting content for our audience.”
Danny Tang, Co-Founder and CEO of Hero Esports, highlighted ACL’s rapid development: “We are pleased by the progress of the ACL and its ability to attract top teams and titles to compete across Asia. We look forward to the continued collaboration between Hero Esports, ACL, and the Esports World Cup Foundation, which is testament to our shared ambition to shape and empower esports globally.”
