Chiliz Group Partners with Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) Through Socios

Share

Ninjas in Pyjamas, better known in the esports world as NIP, is deepening its Web3 push with a new partner. The global esports brand has teamed up with Chiliz Group via Socios.com to bring more value to its fan engagement platform, the Dojo. While the specific details are still under wraps, the goal is clear—strengthen the way fans interact with the NIP brand.

By linking with Socios, NIP is clearly looking to scale its Dojo project and broaden its community reach in ways that keep pace with the esports industry’s fast-changing trends.

Good to know

  • NIP launched the Dojo in 2024 to boost fan connection using blockchain tech.
  • Socios.com is built on the Chiliz Chain and focuses on creating fan tokens and rewards.
  • NIP previously worked with Ziliqa on the same fan engagement platform.

The new partnership adds a new twist to NIP’s existing Web3 journey. Back in 2021, NIP signed a five-year deal with Ziliqa, which then expanded in 2024 to support the Dojo. Now, with Socios.com stepping in as a new collaborator, there are questions about Ziliqa’s current involvement. Neither NIP nor Chiliz has commented on whether Ziliqa remains part of the project.

Socios.com is not new to esports. The platform has already teamed up with names like OG Esports, Team Heretics, NAVI, and MIBR. By entering this new agreement with NIP, Socios adds another prominent brand to its portfolio while NIP gets access to proven fan engagement tools on the Chiliz Chain.

The deal with Socios comes as part of a broader strategy by the NIP Group, formed after NIP merged with Chinese esports brand ESV5. Since the merger, the group has made several moves to expand its business reach. It now trades publicly on NASDAQ, has set up a new game publishing arm, and secured a $40 million investment from the Abu Dhabi Investment Office.

Hicham Chahine, NIP Group Founder and Co-CEO, commented on the move:

“Our fanbase keeps growing. With the addition of new titles, it’s much more diverse than it was just a few years ago. Partnering with Socios.com allows us to bring our loyal Ninjas together in a fun and immersive way, while remaining flexible enough to keep up with the evolving pace of esports.”
