Axie Homeland Avatar Mode introduces a novel approach for players, enabling them to venture into the vibrant world of Lunacia without the prerequisite of owning Land NFTs. This initiative broadens accessibility, allowing any Axie NFT holder to immerse themselves in the expansive virtual landscape, a first-of-its-kind initiative by Sky Mavis.
From July 17th to July 24th, gamers can experience Avatar Mode, navigating through the picturesque Homeland map using their Axie NFTs. This beta phase serves dual purposes: refining server capabilities and engaging the community through four exciting events. These events boast a prize pool comprising 12 collectible axies and 20 coveted land items, enticing participants with valuable rewards.
The mode’s debut on Mavis Hub for Mac and Windows PCs facilitates seamless exploration across diverse plots and four distinct starter villages: Goldenwind, Evergreen, Winterblue, and Hazymoon. A newly integrated chat feature, complete with emoji support and accessible via General, Local, and Global channels, enhances real-time interaction among players.
Axie Homeland Avatar Mode offers two primary exploration modes: World View and Plot View. In World View, players can survey Lunacia’s expanse, navigating past player-owned plots and utilizing coordinates for precise navigation or teleportation via scattered Portals. Upon reaching a desired location, transitioning to Plot View provides an intricate view of NFT-owned lands, facilitating communal exploration and appreciation of village designs.
Post-beta, Avatar Mode will undergo further development before a full-scale launch tentatively scheduled for late July or early August. Sky Mavis remains committed to enriching the social experience within Axie Infinity, promising future updates and features to bolster community interaction and gameplay dynamics.
During the beta phase, players can engage in daily village meetup events from July 17th to July 20th. Each event functions as a raffle, requiring participants to share their favorite moment during the meetup on social media with the hashtag #HomelandAvatar.
