Trust Wallet, a leading self-custody provider, and payments infrastructure firm Mercuryo have joined forces to make it easier for users to convert their cryptocurrencies into fiat money, a process known as “off-ramping.” This partnership addresses a crucial need in the crypto ecosystem: the ability to seamlessly turn digital assets into real-world currency.
Mercuryo’s co-founder and CEO, Petr Kozyakov, emphasized the importance of this development: “Having access to a seamless off-ramp service is just as important as securely storing digital assets.”
This new service allows Trust Wallet users to convert over 30 cryptocurrencies into euros and U.S. dollars. Available in more than 135 countries, this initiative aims to enhance the usability and adoption of digital currencies worldwide.
According to a press release, this collaboration between Trust Wallet and Mercuryo is a significant step toward supporting the mass adoption of digital assets. It comes at a pivotal time, as Europe prepares to implement the Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCA), which will set a new standard for crypto operations within the region.
