Survey: Majority of Payment Firms See Crypto Payments as Groundbreaking

Share

A recent survey by payment network Mercuryo revealed that 57% of respondents believe allowing for cryptocurrency payments would give businesses a massive edge. Over a third of companies said that customers are asking to pay in Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) or other digital assets.

Questioning 501 senior financial decision makers in the United Kingdom, the Mercuryo report reveals that retail payment services might be the boost needed and will continue to be a key driver for crypto adoption.

Of those surveyed, almost half were large businesses employing over 250 people. Of the respondents, 40% are executive level, with the rest being partners or business owners.

An important highlight is that the large firms should pull the adoption and lead the pack, with 75% of all large companies believing that cryptocurrency will eventually be integrated into every form of financial services.

Survey results further show that 72% of large businesses in the payments sector see cryptocurrency as the future of payments. More than 75% saw increased pressure from customers and suppliers to integrate cryptocurrency in operations.
