On March 24, OKX Web3 product manager Kyle Chen prematurely announced the availability of the platform’s standalone wallet app on the Google Play Store. However, shortly after, he issued an apology, admitting the announcement came “too early.”
In a social media post, Chen explained that the app is not yet accessible in certain regions and on some devices. He didn’t specify which regions currently have access or provide a timeline for a wider release. Chen acknowledged his mistake humorously, saying, “My colleagues in the marketing department are going to scold me.”
Despite the setback, Chen maintained excitement about the app’s upcoming features. He also confirmed that the app isn’t yet available on Apple’s App Store.
While sharing a screenshot of the wallet’s interface, Chen revealed that the standalone app would include a “Token AI Narrative Summary” feature. This tool will provide users with real-time market sentiment, displaying insights into long and short positions and the latest discussions from X.
Additionally, Chen hinted at more significant updates in the pipeline for the OKX Wallet. However, he clarified that the AI Narrative Summary would not be limited to the app. Users unable to download the app can still access these insights through the OKX website. “To view [insights on] the DEX Market or any popular token, click on insights to see the AI analysis summary of the token. Feedback and suggestions are welcome!”
