The AI and business firm has formally changed its name to Strategy and revealed a new identity. With Strategy now holding the largest corporate stake in Bitcoin, this change demonstrates a more focused attention to its primary objective. In addition to the name change, the business unveiled a revamped website and made orange the main color of its brand. The stylized “B” in the company’s new logo represents its effective Bitcoin strategy.
Michael Saylor, Strategy’s founder and executive chairman, shared his thoughts on the rebranding: “Strategy is one of the most powerful and positive words in the human language. It also represents a simplification of our company name to its most important, strategic core. Antoine de Saint-Exupery said, ‘Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.’ After 35 years, our new brand perfectly represents our pursuit of perfection.”
Phong Le, president and CEO of Strategy, emphasized the company’s dual focus on two transformative technologies: Bitcoin and artificial intelligence. “Strategy is innovating in the two most transformative technologies of the twenty-first century – bitcoin and artificial intelligence. Our new name powerfully and simply conveys the universal and global appeal of our company, and the value we bring to the strategies of our shareholders, customers, partners, and employees.”
Strategy’s dedication to Bitcoin is clear, with the company making substantial additions to its BTC holdings. As of February 2, 2025, Strategy holds 471,107 BTC, representing an investment of approximately $30.4 billion, with an average acquisition cost of $64,511 per BTC. This aggressive acquisition strategy continued until February 2025, when the company paused its buying spree after 12 weeks.
Further insights into the rebranding and the company’s future direction will be shared during the upcoming earnings call, scheduled for 5 p.m. EST.
