Bybit Returns to India With Full App Access and New Community Push

The crypto market in India just got busier again. Bybit, one of the world’s major exchanges, confirmed that its mobile app is now fully available to Indian users on both Apple’s App Store and Google Play. Website access will be phased back in during the coming days, restoring the platform’s complete functionality.

Bybit’s return didn’t happen overnight. The company spent months working closely with regulators after formally registering with the Financial Intelligence Unit-India (FIU-IND) under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act back in January. That step aligned the exchange with India’s compliance framework and paved the way for broader service restoration.

At first, only verified users had partial access starting in February. Now, after extended engagement with authorities, the exchange has switched on its full suite of services, from spot trading to advanced tools like derivatives, options, and copy trading.

Vikas Gupta, Bybit India’s country manager, explained that the company’s ambitions go beyond offering a trading app:

“We are looking at long-term objectives around education, partnerships, and community-driven programs in the local digital asset market.”

Bybit Co-founder and CEO Ben Zhou described the restart as more than just business:

“India is among the most promising digital asset markets globally. We are excited to resume normal business and reaffirm our devotion to delivering Indian users with secure, transparent, and world-class cryptocurrency experiences. It’s not a comeback, it’s a new hapter for Bybit in India.”

Building Connections Through Events

The relaunch comes with a clear push to deepen community ties. Bybit has become a sponsor of the India Blockchain Tour 2025, which started in Hyderabad and is heading to New Delhi later this month.

At the same time, the company rolled out its World Series of Trading 2025. The contest is designed to attract new participants with prizes ranging from cash to luxury incentives like cars and iPhones. Bybit’s strategy blends product access with cultural and community visibility, aiming to strengthen its place in India’s rapidly growing digital asset scene.
