Just a couple of days after winning the $10K 2-7 Draw Lowball Championship for $273,335 and a lot of extra money thanks to some bracelet bets, Jason Mercier found himself in another good position to win a WSOP bracelet in the $10K Razz Championship.
Mercier can win $1,8 million from Vanessa Selbst if he manages to win three bracelets during this World Series of Poker. With only $10K of his own money on the line, Vanessa sure is sweating all Mercier’s action. She can be a little relieved with the outcome of the Razz Championship, because Mercier ended as runner-up behind Ray Dehkharghani.
The final table draw was as follows:
Seat | Player | Country | Chips | BB |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Bart Hanson | USA | 246.000 | (8) |
2 | Jyri Merivirta | Finland | 109.000 | (4) |
3 | Ray Dehkharghani | USA | 838.000 | (28) |
4 | Robert Campbell | Australia | 360.000 | (12) |
5 | Jason Mercier | USA | 1.595.000 | (53) |
6 | Brian Hastings | USA | 367.000 | (12) |
7 | Yueqi Zhu | China | 312.000 | (10) |
8 | John Racener | USA | 1.174.000 | (39) |
Starting as the chipleader, all eyes were on Mercier. Unfortunately for him (and fortunately for Selbst) he ended the match as runner-up, good for another $168,936. Ray Dehkharghani took the bracelet and a price of $273,338. Below are the results of the final table.
Position | Player | Country | Price |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Ray Dehkharghani | USA | $273.338 |
2 | Jason Mercier | USA | $168.936 |
