Real Gaming not Worried About Their Late Start

Nevada is not having an easy time with their online poker offerings, as the liquidity has simply not been sufficient enough to create good action and thus make money for the sites. While the agreement with Delaware is said to begin soon, Real Gaming is not worried about being the last site to have launched in the state, as they wanted to be fully prepared to run an online poker site, despite getting the first license and – at that time – wanted to launch first.

CEO of Real Gaming, Michael Vaughan, told ReviewJournal.com that he was happy that they had waited to go online with their site, which soft launched in February this year. “No one had run this type of business before,”  he said, “Regulations changes things, like development time lines.”

“It was our intent to be the first out, but we sort of realigned our vision to be about being on every device,” and added “(The delay) made me realize this is a long game and we’re at the beginning of a new era of gaming. It really doesn’t matter if you were first or not and it doesn’t matter if you trip out the door. All this is going to change with education. New customers will come out and define a different type of experience. It will be an evolution over the next couple of years.”

Vaughan also said that the site has performed as he had expected. “Our customers know the South Point brand,” he said, “We want to be extremely quiet and deal with a small, but loyal, customer base and accelerate from there.”

As Real Gaming is still in their testing period, it will be some time before the people of Nevada will begin to see marketing campaigns, but they will come and they will cross with South Point Casino to use the brand from there for the online business.

The client has been build from scratch by Real Gaming and is based on HTML5 technology, allowing players to play on almost all new mobile devices as well as all types of computers. They wanted to differentiate themselves from the clients available on the market and build up a small but solid player base and then take the growth from there.
