There is plenty of action coming up starting February 20 for those PokerStars US registered players in the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Michigan.
Michigan
Starting with the new kid on the block, Michigan, where online poker kicked off on January 29, the PokerStars Michigan Championship of Online Poker (MICOOP) will bring 60 tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $10 to $500. The series features numerous games, No Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha, Five Card Draw, and mixed games. The MICOOP will run from February 20 to March 8.
Tournament types will include Progressive Knockout (PKO), turbo, traditional bounty, marathon, and others.
A two-day $300 Main Event will be the icing on the cake for the Michigan newcomers with first cards being dealt on March 7 and the final table being played on March 8. The event will have a guaranteed prize pool of $125,000.
There are plenty of qualifying opportunities being offered from as low as $2 buy-in satellites.
Pennsylvania and New Jersey
At about the same time that Michigan is enjoying their first MICOOP, PokerStars is bringing some good old fashioned (progressive) knock out action to Pennsylvania and New Jersey with their infamous Bounty Builder series. In both states the series, with their separate player and prize pool, will run from February 20 to March 8.
In Pennsylvania, the Bounty Builder series offer $1.5 million in guaranteed prizemoney. The schedule will bring 75 events with buy-ins starting at $10.
The $200 Main Event is scheduled for March 7 featuring a guaranteed prize pool of $150,000. The series also include two editions of a Sunday Special each with $100,000 guaranteed scheduled for February 21 and February 27
A $1,000 Super High Roller with $75,000 guaranteed is locked in for February 24.
The New Jersey Bounty Builder series will offer 58 events with buy-ins starting at $10.
The $300 Main Event starting on March 7 with a $75,000 guarantee will have all eyes on it while a $30 Mini Main Event on that same day, offering a $5,000 guarantee, is certain sure to draw a crowd.
In both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, PokerStars is keeping a KO Bounty Builder Leaderboard with players knocking out the most players winning a prize of up to $4,000.
In both states, PokerStars also offers numerous ways to qualify for the Series.
