PokerStars Announces SCOOP 2022 Kicking Off May 8

Share

PokerStars have announced its  Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) which is kicking off next month for its 14th edition, running between May 8 and June 1.

Over the previous 13 years, there have been more than 11 million tournament entries and prize pools of more than $1.1 billion. Tournament winners have earned more than $170 million.

There is only one direction these numbers can go: upward. And the headline news for this year’s series is that there will be at least another $78.5 million going on the prize pool total.

That’s the guarantee for the 2022 SCOOP, where there are 107 events, each at low, medium and high price points. That means 318 tournaments in all, played out from Sunday May 8 through Wednesday, June 1.

This includes the Main Events, which start on Sunday, May 29 and play through the final four days of the series. The three hold’em Main Event buy-ins are $109, $1,050 and $10,300, and the guarantees are $2.5 million, $4 million and $5 million, respectively.

SCOOP Pick-A-Box Game – New for SCOOP 2022, PokerStars players will be able to pick from one of six boxes a day in a bid to win a SCOOP ticket, with $250,000 worth of tickets being given away each week throughout the Series. This can be found in the challenges window.

SCOOP leader boards – $100,000 in cash prizes will be awarded via four SCOOP leader boards. Every time a player plays a SCOOP event, they will receive points based on their finishing position, putting them onto one of four leader boards divided up into tournaments with Low, Medium, and High buy-ins, as well as overall Player of the Series. Leader board winners and the coveted Player of the Series will also receive a SCOOP trophy to mark their success.

SCOOP Fast Track – $300,000 is up for grabs via SCOOP Fast Track satellites throughout the series. Players can qualify for the Main Events through the Fast Track for just $0.50.
