Commerce Casino to Host 2024 WSOP Tournament of Champions

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has unveiled its plans for the 2024 Tournament of Champions, selecting Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, California, as the venue for the eagerly anticipated $1 million freeroll event. The tournament is scheduled from May 22 to May 24, becoming a highlight of the WSOP Circuit stop that takes place March 10 through March 24, featuring 18 gold ring events. This announcement comes just ahead of the 2024 World Series of Poker, which starts on May 28 in Las Vegas.

Ty Stewart, Senior Vice President & Executive Director of the WSOP, expressed enthusiasm about the new location, stating, “For years, the Commerce has been the home of poker in Los Angeles and one of the leading card rooms in the world. We look forward to kicking off our new strategic relationship with a special WSOP Circuit finale and the Tournament of Champions bracelet event. We also look forward to qualifying more players from Los Angeles for the WSOP main event than ever before.”

Qualification for the Tournament of Champions is reserved for those who have clinched victories in specific events, including live bracelet events at the WSOP, WSOP Europe, or WSOP Paradise in 2023, online WSOP bracelet events across various platforms, and live or online WSOP Circuit ring events during the 2023-24 season. The full list of qualifiers is available on the WSOP’s official website, which currently features over 600 players, with more expected to be added as additional qualifications are secured.
