The Ronin blockchain’s developer, Sky Mavis, has declared that Ronin-based NFTs can now be traded on OpenSea. Through this partnership, users who have a Ronin Wallet may easily purchase, sell, and mint NFTs straight on one of the biggest NFT marketplaces in the world.
For makers and collectors, the integration creates new opportunities that offer increased visibility and liquidity. The visibility of Ronin NFTs was formerly limited to the Ronin Market. Existing collections can now reach a wider audience thanks to OpenSea’s worldwide user base, and new initiatives might catch on faster.
Additionally, 8% of OpenSea’s platform fees from Ronin NFT transactions will go to the Ronin Treasury, mirroring the fee structure of the Ronin Market. This revenue will support further growth within the Ronin ecosystem.
Sky Mavis is also introducing OpenSea Studio to the Ronin blockchain, making it easier than ever to create and launch NFTs. OpenSea Studio’s no-code interface eliminates technical barriers for creators. By selecting the Ronin network on the platform, users can design, mint, and publish NFTs using their existing Ronin Wallets.
This feature is expected to encourage more creators to explore the Ronin blockchain, leading to a diverse range of NFT collections. With simplified tools and increased marketplace access, the creative community now has robust support for their digital projects.
Even if OpenSea provides more trade alternatives, it is still difficult to enforce royalties. Only royalties for NFTs utilizing more recent token standards, such as ERC-721C and ERC-1155C, will be supported by OpenSea. Royalties will still be applicable on the Ronin Market, but they won’t be enforceable on OpenSea for older tokens like ERC-721 and ERC-1155. In order to guarantee uniformity across platforms, Sky Mavis has recognized this problem and is looking into solutions.
