Puffverse, a gaming project centered on NFT characters on Binance’s BNB Chain, announced that it will be moving its collections to Ronin, an Ethereum gaming network. The play-to-earn party game PuffGo, which will launch on Ronin, is being unveiled at the same time as the announcement.
Puffverse announced a $3 million fundraising round in conjunction with the migration news, led by titans of metaverse investing, Animoca Brands. Star Mavis, the inventor of Ronin, Arcane Group, Spartan Group, Foresight Ventures, HashKey Capital, and Xu Family Office are among the notable players.
The infusion of capital will fuel the development of PuffGo, the flagship party game featuring play-to-earn dynamics. Additionally, funds will support the establishment of a cloud gaming platform aimed at constructing personalized metaverse encounters.
Lya L, co-founder and COO of Puffverse, underscored the strategic rationale behind the migration, emphasizing the project’s dedication to enhancing accessibility across Web2 and Web3 domains.
PuffGo is the first game from Puffverse to be released on the Ronin network. It is an interactive multiplayer experience with reward incentives. It has features for user-generated content and upcoming AI-powered tools for creating maps and metaverses using text-based instructions.
On April 29, Puffverse intends to take a snapshot of NFT holders on the BNB Chain. A subsequent airdrop of the Ronin-based assets to associated wallets will thereafter be place. Later this year, the team plans to launch a new NFT collection in addition to a PUFF token on Ronin.
