Puffverse, an immersive 3D metaverse, has garnered a significant $3 million investment led by Animoca Brands, with support from Sky Mavis and HashKey Capital. This influx of funding coincides with the platform’s transition from BNB Chain to Ronin Network.
The investment injection is earmarked for enhancing Puffverse’s flagship game, PuffGo, and its cloud gaming infrastructure. The platform’s development will focus on facilitating NFT projects to construct personalized metaverses, fostering creativity and engagement within the community.
With its migration to Ronin Network, crafted by the masterminds behind Axie Infinity, Puffverse anticipates improved accessibility and seamless integration with Web3 communities. Ronin’s user-friendly features, including low transaction fees and rapid processing, promise a smoother experience for players.
Lya L, Puffverse Co-Founder and COO, underscores the strategic significance of this move, stating, “Moving Puffverse to the Ronin blockchain was a strategic decision rooted in our commitment to making our 3D universe more accessible to both Web2 and Web3 users.”
PuffGo offers a dynamic party-game environment where players can partake in a myriad of activities. The inclusion of user-generated content empowers players to unleash their creativity by crafting personalized game maps. Furthermore, forthcoming features will enable users to command AI tools via text prompts to design maps, levels, and their own metaverses.
Recognizing the burgeoning potential in East Asian markets, Puffverse is poised to broaden its presence in these regions. Trung Nguyen, Sky Mavis CEO and Co-Founder, highlights the compatibility of party games with Web3 mechanics and emphasizes the platform’s understanding of the East Asia and China market. She said, “Party games, with their quick gameplay loops and dynamic social features, could be a very good fit for elevation via Web3 mechanics. The Puffverse team also understands the East Asia and China market, which we believe is ripe for Ronin to expand into.”
