The much awaited PUBG Esports Roadmap for 2024 has been unveiled by Krafton, who has also unveiled an exciting schedule of tournaments and events. Along with a unique event that takes place in conjunction with the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, the roadmap adds a number of competitions, including as the Nations Cup, the PUBG Global Championship (PGC), and the return of PUBG Global Series (PGS) events.
March 2024 is set aside as the formal start of the season and all regional series. This implies that viewers will have to wait a few more months to see the intense PUBG tournaments.
With four unique tournaments, the PUBG Global Series (PGS) steals the show and counts toward qualifying for the PUBG Global Championship (PGC). A competitive roster will be formed by regional qualifiers from all across the world, with a $300,000 prize pool guaranteed for each PGS tournament. These qualifications will produce 14 teams in total, plus 10 more guaranteed seeding for partner teams.
Interestingly, teams can secure a spot in PGC without directly qualifying for PGS events by accumulating points in regional competitions. The PUBG Global Series allocates seeds as follows:
The region with the largest seed allotment is APAC; however, the position of the present partner teams may change as a result of continuous assessments. By the end of the month, Krafton intends to reveal the final roster of clubs.
As of right now, 17 Gaming, 4AM, Petrichor Road, Gen.G, NAVI, FaZe Clan, Twisted Minds, and Soniqs are among the partner teams. As clubs reassess their rosters in preparation for the forthcoming season, Krafton does, however, allude to potential roster changes.
The stage is set for an exciting and competitive year in the PUBG universe as fans anxiously await the release of this esports roadmap.
