Oxya Origin Launches Road to Genesis Pre-Alpha Tournament

The Road to Genesis pre-alpha competition, which runs from July 18 until August 4, begins with Oxya Origin. This event promises new features, different ways to participate, and lots of prizes for players. Based on player feedback and the success of their most recent private demo, the Oxya Origin team has improved the game.

What is the Road to Genesis?

Road to Genesis immerses players in a captivating multiplayer experience within the expansive Oxya Origin universe. Participants explore diverse levels, combat various enemies, and complete missions to earn points and climb the leaderboard. Top players receive rewards such as in-game currency ($OXYZ), special items, and valuable resources.

Players start in a semi-open world, freely roaming to uncover the game’s rich lore and hidden secrets. The game world is divided into multiple levels, each filled with unique challenges, obstacles, and enemies. Different rooms and environments offer distinct gameplay experiences, keeping players engaged.

In this pre-alpha phase, players encounter six types of enemies: three regular, two elite, and one boss. Regular enemies provide basic combat challenges, while elite enemies demand more strategic approaches. The boss enemy presents the highest difficulty, requiring players to use all their skills and resources to prevail.

The gameplay includes exploring areas like the perilous Anemoria Valley in the Kryo Black Mountains. These regions are fraught with environmental hazards and hidden traps. Players must navigate spike pits, flame jets, and collapsing floors to avoid damage.

Puzzle rooms test players’ problem-solving skills with intricate challenges. Timed challenges add urgency, requiring players to complete objectives within a set time limit. Combat scenarios feature rooms filled with enemies of varying types and difficulties.

Missions in Road to Genesis:

• Exploration Missions: Navigate through 14 rooms filled with obstacles, discovering resources and fighting enemies.
• Combat Missions: Defeat a set number of enemies within a time limit, adapting strategies to varying enemy types.
• Resource Gathering Missions: Collect specific items or resources scattered across the game map while facing enemy attacks and environmental hazards.
• Boss Battles: Face off against the boss enemy, using all acquired skills and weapons to win.

A highlight of this pre-alpha is the introduction of Valor Crests, replacing the old Alpha Keys. Valor Crests, special NFTs on Immutable zkEVM, signify a player’s high status and grant access to mid-level rewards during the pre-alpha. These crests are essential for obtaining Starter Packs filled with in-game items like Avatar Skins, OGEM, and resources.

The shift from Alpha Keys to Valor Crests unifies player benefits, ensuring everyone gains from these valuable items. Players who invested in Alpha Keys retain their benefits while accessing the new, enhanced system of Valor Crests. Builder Keys, similar to Alpha Keys, will also transition to Valor Crests, offering similar benefits and special rewards.

Participation in the pre-alpha tournament is open to various players through multiple access points. Genesis Avatar holders and Land owners compete for the largest share of the prize pool, including 666,000 $OXYZ tokens. Valor Crest holders, with elite status, vie for 20% of the prize pool. Additionally, the tournament is open to the public, allowing free-to-play participants to compete for the remaining 5%.

The tournament features multiple leaderboards with significant rewards for top players: 500,000 $OXYZ tokens for NFT Avatar/Land holders, 133,000 $OXYZ tokens for Valor Crest holders, and 33,000 $OXYZ tokens for free-to-play participants.
