Orbi’s Breath Unveils NFT Minting Event on Magic Eden for August 22nd

The team behind the blockchain card game Orbi’s Breath has unveiled an exciting NFT minting event scheduled for August 22nd at 4 PM UTC on Magic Eden. This release will offer early adopters a chance to secure NFTs that provide in-game benefits for the upcoming Solana-based game.

Orbi’s Breath will initially release 500 NFTs in Phase 1 of its minting process. However, 80 of these NFTs are reserved for “friends and people who helped us in this journey,” leaving 420 available for the public. This first phase will take place on Magic Eden’s launchpad, featuring both a whitelist and public minting opportunity. For whitelisted participants, the minting price is set at 0.75 $SOL, while the public minting price will be 0.9 $SOL per NFT.

The phased release strategy aims to build a high-quality community of gamers. According to a Discord announcement from the game’s co-founder, “the idea is to have a good quality narrowed down community of gamers” with unique benefits tied to each phase. Phase 1 NFTs will feature special traits not available in subsequent phases. Details on Phase 2 will be disclosed at the Solana Breakpoint event in Singapore on September 20th and 21st.

NFT Utility and Gameplay Benefits

Minting an NFT will grant users a chest in their wallet. By connecting their wallet to the official Orbi’s Breath website, players can open this chest to reveal a Hero card and its rarity. These Heroes will be playable in the game and can be leveled up using resources earned from winning battles.

Each Hero card features five attributes: Health, Attack, Shield, Speed, and Spirit. To enhance these attributes, players must accumulate resources through gameplay. Additionally, NFT holders will benefit from a 50% discount on level-up fees, though it is not specified whether these fees pertain to network transaction costs or resource expenditures.

Orbi’s Breath is an upcoming decentralized PvP card game on Solana, offering a diverse range of Heroes with unique abilities. The game features an ELO-based ranking system, where players earn rewards by competing in matches and climbing the leaderboard. The game will also include a store for purchasing bundles of resources or premium currency and various limited-time challenges.
