Web3 game developer Foonie Magus has disclosed details about its upcoming Apeiron Guild Wars 2024 tournament, featuring a staggering $1 million prize pool. This marks the company’s largest tournament yet and is set to become an annual event.
The tournament will commence with online preliminaries running from May 21st to June 25th. During this period, guilds will vie for slots in the tournament on a dedicated Guild PvP leaderboard, active from May 21st to July 2nd. Following this, the SEA Invitational is slated for July 11th-14th, followed by the NA Invitational from July 18th-21st.
The top 12 guilds from each region will be invited to the Apeiron Guild Wars 2024 in-person event in Hong Kong during Q3 2024. Participants will battle it out in a double-elimination bracket tournament to secure spots in the semifinals and finals, with the top four seeded guilds progressing directly to the finals.
With a total of $1 million up for grabs, the prize pool will be divided between $500,000 USD and $500,000 worth of NFTs. The rewards will be distributed among top-performing players based on their tournament performance. The event aims to encourage players from established guilds and the web3 community to engage in competitive gaming and contribute to a community-centric gaming ecosystem.
