Champions Tactics Season 3 Launches with Steam Arrival

Share

Ubisoft is expanding the reach of Champions Tactics: Reforged by bringing the game to Steam, with Season 3 now underway. While the official release date hasn’t been confirmed, players can already add the game to their wishlist on the platform.

The move to Steam is designed to grow the player base and make the game more accessible. The Steam version will come with online multiplayer, achievements, in-app purchases, and integration with Ubisoft Connect. It will support 12 languages, including English, French, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese. Players will need a minimum of 8GB RAM and a GTX 960 to run the game, with a GTX 1660 or better recommended for smoother performance.

Season 3 Brings Strategy Updates and New Story Content

In Season 3, Ubisoft has introduced updates to refine how players approach combat. The game’s format remains turn-based, with teams of three Champions battling through tactical setups and ability coordination. Updates in this season focus on ability balance, pacing, and squad customization, giving players more strategic options while keeping the core gameplay intact.

The game’s fantasy setting continues to grow as well. A new chapter in the Grimoria universe has been added, deepening the narrative without changing the established rules. Ubisoft said these changes reflect ongoing player feedback and performance tuning.

Ranked Play and Seasonal Progression Still Central

Ranked competitive play continues to be a central feature. Season 3 maintains the same structure where progression depends on match results. Ubisoft has confirmed new seasonal rewards are part of the update, though specific details haven’t been released yet. The studio plans to keep supporting the title as a competitive multiplayer experience.

Blockchain Features Absent from Steam Release

Earlier versions of Champions Tactics included blockchain-based content like NFT Champions. However, the Steam listing does not reference any Web3 features. Ubisoft hasn’t commented on whether blockchain elements will return. Updates on this may come through future Steam announcements or official Ubisoft channels.
