BPMG Teams With Gala Lab for Japan Market Push

Share

South Korean tech firm BPMG is stepping out of its traditional B2B role and heading into the consumer market with a broader push into Web3 gaming and international expansion. The company plans to launch its blockchain-based social platform Poplus in May 2025 while also preparing to roll out Web3 versions of several popular games. On top of that, BPMG is teaming up with Gala Lab to tap into the Japanese market later this year.

Good to know

  • Poplus, a blockchain-powered social platform, goes live in May 2025.
  • Web3 versions of Fortress, Dragon Flight, and Rappelz M are on the way.
  • BPMG is entering the Japanese market through a partnership with Gala Lab.

CEO Ji-Hoon Cha called the shift a key moment for the company, saying, “This year marks a pivotal moment for BPMG as we evolve from a B2B-focused technology provider to a comprehensive consumer-facing platform.”

At the core of BPMG’s new direction is Poplus, a blockchain community platform designed to reward users through engagement. The platform will function like a social network where users earn points that can be converted into GHUB tokens, BPMG’s native digital asset.

Poplus won’t be limited to Web3 games. It will also host casual and browser-based titles, creating a wider pool of user activity while helping to grow the token economy behind GHUB.

BPMG is leaning on familiar names to power its Web3 gaming lineup. Players can expect blockchain-integrated versions of Fortress, Dragon Flight, and Rappelz M. In addition to their release on Poplus, two of those titles—Dragon Flight and Rappelz M—will also launch on the CROX platform, a blockchain gaming service built by NEXUS.

In CROX, players will be able to earn GemHubX, a token that can be exchanged for CROX Coin, giving players an opportunity to convert in-game activity into crypto rewards.

To support its global strategy, BPMG is working with Gala Lab to enter the Japanese Web3 market. The two companies plan to launch membership NFTs in collaboration with local hotel chains and streaming platforms. The move is part of a broader push to tie gaming, digital ownership, and real-world perks together.

According to Cha, the plan is not just about launching games but creating “vibrant communities” and delivering utility through NFTs and blockchain features. “We are building a blockchain ecosystem that delivers real utility and global reach,” he said.
