The Ronin blockchain is set to expand its gaming ecosystem with the introduction of ‘Kaidro,’ an anime-style role-playing game inspired by a popular webcomic. This new addition follows the successful launch of the PIXEL token, which achieved over a billion dollars in trading volume on its first day, highlighting Ronin’s growing prominence in the Web3 gaming sector.

Developed by Sky Mavis, the blockchain technology behind the hit game Axie Infinity, Ronin’s partnership with Gadget-Bot Productions for ‘Kaidro’ signals a significant move. Initially planned for Immutable X, the decision to launch exclusively on Ronin emphasizes the platform’s appeal to game developers and players alike.

‘Kaidro’ promises to plunge gamers into a dystopian setting where humans engage in battles using a mix of technology and magic. With a focus on team-based multiplayer action, the game will feature both PvP and PvE modes across various maps, encouraging players to strategize and compete.

The storyline of ‘Kaidro’ is further enriched through a collaboration with Tim Hedrick, a writer known for his work on “Avatar: The Last Airbender” and “Voltron: Legendary Defender,” who is developing an animated TV series based on the game. Behind ‘Kaidro’ are Peggy Chung and Robert Simons, co-founders of Gadget-Bot. Their experience in the film and video game industries, with contributions to “Jurassic World” and “Call of Duty,” informs their vision for ‘Kaidro.’ They aim to transcend traditional gaming boundaries by integrating Web3 technologies, allowing players to own a piece of the game’s universe through NFTs and digital ownership.
