At the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville, Michael Saylor, the founder and executive chairman of MicroStrategy, notorious Bitcoin bull and known for his 21 rules of Bitcoin, made a wild prediction that Bitcoin (BTC) will surge over 19,000% in the next two decades. Saylor presented his ambitious long-term plan for Bitcoin to a receptive crowd, extending the timeline out to 2045.

Bitcoin’s Impressive Future

Saylor envisions Bitcoin reaching an astonishing $13 million per coin, with a market cap of $280 trillion. He explained, “Here’s my macro Bitcoin forecast: it’s 21 years. It goes out to the year 2045. What do I think will happen? Well, I’ve got a bear case and a bull case.”

Saylor’s base-case scenario involves Bitcoin’s annual rate of return (ARR) gradually decreasing over time. He outlined, “I think 55% ARR goes to 50%, 45%, 40%, 35%, 30%, 25%, 20% – it’s between 50% and 20%. It will gradually decelerate till it’s growing about twice as fast as the S&P index.”

At this rate, Saylor sees Bitcoin achieving $13 million per coin by 2045. He also considered various scenarios, stating, “It could be a $3 million bear case, it could be a $49 million bull case. But what is Bitcoin? 7% of the world’s asset then.”

MicroStrategy, under Saylor’s leadership, holds the largest corporate Bitcoin stash in the world. The company’s treasury includes 226,331 BTC, valued at $15.318 billion. Saylor’s confidence in Bitcoin’s future is evident in MicroStrategy’s substantial investment in the cryptocurrency.
