$6 Trillion Biden stimulus is good for Bitcoin, Edward Snowden says

37-year-old former computer intelligence consultant for the National Security Agency (NSA) and contractor for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Edward Snowden, has once again made some remarks on Bitcoin.

On Friday, Snowden commented on Twitter after news of the Biden administration going to drop another $6 trillion stimulus plan to “bring back a better” America.

it is not the first time that the infamous whistleblower has spoken about Bitcoin. Snowden has been very vocal about the number one cryptocurrency. In May 2019 he said about Bitcoin:

“Bitcoin may not yet really be private money, but it is the first ‘free’ money.”

And just after the market crash of March 12 in 2020, Snowden tweeted:

Back in 2019, when the U.S. Department of Justice (DoJ) held Snowden’s book sales with the announced lawsuit against the former Intelligence consultant, Snowden ‘jokingly’ said:

There is no doubt that Snowden is a believer in decentralized technology and makes regular use of it himself. Although he is mostly positive about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, he occasionally comes out with criticism.

Just this month Snowden slammed the Human Rights Foundation’s (HRF) Alex Gladstein’s recent statements on Twitter in an interview with Marta Belcher at the 2021 Ethereal Virtual Summit. In the interview, Snowden attacked tribalism happening in crypto space, saying that some people “see the world beyond their cave.”

The interview did not sit well with Gladstein:

Being an expert in government surveillance, Snowden long ago knew the effects crypto could have on society. It was five years ago in 2016 that Snowden had said that “new technologies raise the possibility of unstoppable tax protests,” thereby referring to the threat that crypto poses to nation’s monopoly over money.
