Laton Ventures has announced the opening of a $35 million venture capital fund aimed at helping gaming entrepreneurs globally, in an effort to boost the gaming sector in the face of persistent difficulties. This project, which offers a glimmer of hope for the development of AI and Web3 gaming technology, comes at a pivotal moment. Laton Ventures, with its headquarters in Turkiye, aims to strengthen the relationship between Turkish and foreign gaming companies. Görkem Türk, one of the founding partners of Laton Ventures, emphasized the fund's inclination towards mobile gaming platforms, leveraging the team's extensive expertise in this sector. However, while maintaining a preference for mobile gaming, Türk highlighted the fund's openness to investments across various content categories, including mobile, PC, and console gaming. Beyond financial backing, Laton Ventures provides operational advisory services aimed at empowering portfolio companies in areas such as user acquisition, game design, and analytics. "We're going to be quite agnostic toward the content category. We will invest in mobile, PC, and console," said Türk. "Our background is coming from mobile. So we will always acknowledge that. We will be investing in everything, but probably we will lean towards mobile content much more." Investing in Visionary Startups and Building Partnerships Targeting pre-seed and seed-stage startups, Laton Ventures seeks to collaborate with companies showcasing exceptional talent and forward-thinking vision. The fund has already allocated investments to five studios spanning Turkey, Europe, and the US, with notable recipients including Pine Games and Sequel Games.
