Kazakhstan's Winning Bid The Phygital International Expert Committee was impressed by Kazakhstan's ability to organize and execute such a large-scale international event. The selection process was heavily influenced by the country's emphasis on innovation and tradition as well as its experience in hosting big events. With this victory, Kazakhstan is positioned as a major participant in the burgeoning phygital sports movement, which combines real-world and virtual sports competitions. Nis Hatt, CEO of Phygital International, expressed his excitement: “We’re hugely excited at the prospect of Kazakhstan receiving the phygital flame from next year’s host, the UAE, to host the 2026 tournament. The 2025 edition will be hosted by the UAE, and Kazakhstan will follow in 2026.
