Unibet Open came by Copenhagen Casino the past weekend, where hundreds of Danish and international players had paid the €1,100 buy-in to compete for the prestigious title. The Danish tournament pro Frederik Brink, also known as FredBrink online, was crowned the winner late last night after beating Hungarian Emil Hegedus heads up.

Not only did Brink ensure that the Danes could finally get a title on their own home turf, but he also had a nice pay day as he won DKK 625,000 (€83,700) along with a nice Unibet Open trophy. Hegedus got DKK 430,000 (€57,600) for his efforts and is probably happy with the result despite not winning.

The last hand of the tournament was a very interesting hand. The flop is   and Brink and Hegedus gets all-in, with Brink having Hegedus covered. Brink shows , while Hegedus shows   and needs to improve his hand to have a chance to win.

The turn shows a  and now Hegedus is ahead and looking to take a massive chiplead in the tournament. River is a  however and Brink re-sucked out on Hegedus and takes the title.

Brink has won around $3.5 million in online tournaments and also has massive live tournament winnings behind him, such as his second place in Aussie Millions Main Event for around a million dollars. With the victory in Copenhagen, Brink will now freeroll the Unibet Open in Tallinn and have a chance to show the world once again that he is among the best Danish tournament players.
