Just like with most other big events in the world, they always have a break of a few months during the course of the summer period. This is something that is done with football, soccer and all other major televised sports, but it also includes the EPT, which is finally back for its 100th event, hosted in Barcelona.

The 100th EPT in Barcelona began yesterday with a few side events, Estrellas Main Event as well as a Senior’s Event to start things off the right way. On Tuesday is the first real major EPT tournament in this festival, when the Super High Roller €50,000 buy-in tournament starts, having unlimited re-entry.

Then on Thursday the event that most have come to play begins, as the Main Event starts at 12.00 CET. The main event has a €5,300 buy-in and it’s expected to break records with the attendance due to the anniversary of the EPT. Tons of players has qualified for the tournament online already, as well as local qualifiers also sending a decent amount of players.

Finally on Wednesday the 27th, the final table of the main event has been reached and we will be finding a winner of the special 100th edition of the EPT. Pokerstars will be streaming live from the main event from day 2, allowing you to follow the action directly on your tv or computer.
