Elton Tsang, known for his high-stakes poker prowess, took the top spot in the $150,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em event. Facing a competitive field of 117 players, Tsang secured a win that added $4.2 million to his earnings. This victory, marking Tsang’s debut Triton trophy, pushes his career earnings past the $21.9 million mark. The latest win builds on his previous success, including a win at the 2016 World Series of Poker Big One For One Drop event.
In the $50,000 Turbo Bounty Event, American poker professional Dan Smith outplayed a field of 108 entrants. This rapid, one-day event featured a bounty component, enriching the competitive atmosphere. Smith’s victory, accompanied by five bounty rewards, totaled more than $1.2 million in earnings. This win accentuates Smith’s prominent status in the poker community and adds to his impressive Triton earnings, which now total nearly $19.5 million. It was just in October of last year that Smith took first prize of $3,870,000 at the $200K Triton Super High Roller Invitational in Monte Carlo.
Thai poker professional Punnat Punsri excelled in the $50,000 seven-max no-limit hold’em event, defeating 190 competitors to win $2 million and secure his second title in the Triton series. Punsri’s consistent performance in Triton tournaments is remarkable, with a significant portion of his career earnings derived from these events.
