Another Bracelet for Scott Seiver in Event #40: $1,500 Razz at WSOP 2024

Scott Seiver is on a roll at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP), with his latest victory in the $1,500 Razz event marking his sixth career bracelet win. Seiver’s impressive performance has maintained a 25-year streak of at least one player earning multiple bracelets in a single year.

The 39-year-old poker pro from Las Vegas has been on a mission to win the WSOP Player of the Year race and cement his status as a top Poker Hall of Fame nominee when he becomes eligible next year. Seiver’s recent successes have been crucial to these goals, with his fifth career bracelet coming just days before his Razz victory. He won the $10,000 Omaha eight-or-better championship event for $426,744.

Seiver’s latest win has placed him among the elite poker players, as only 23 have reached six or more bracelet wins. He has now won two bracelets in Razz and four in other events, including two no-limit hold’em victories in 2008 and 2022, and championship wins in limit hold’em in 2018 and Omaha eight-or-better in 2024.

With more than $26.4 million in career tournament earnings, Seiver has set his sights on both Player of the Year and the Poker Hall of Fame. “It’s the entire motivator,” he explained. “I really, truly want to win Player of the Year this year. I’m going to do as much as I can to make that happen.” Seiver believes this victory should help solidify his resume for the Poker Hall of Fame. “I’m going to keep going…whatever people need to see.”
