The Sandbox has launched an exciting new Game Jam event called City Jam: Paris, inviting creators to recreate iconic Parisian landmarks and neighborhoods. Participants can win a share of the 30k SAND prize pool and have their creations featured on a dedicated Paris Estate.
City Jam: Paris is a special event for The Sandbox, as Paris is home to one of their headquarters and boasts a rich cultural heritage. Creators are encouraged to bring famous landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral to life on the platform. This event aims to capture the essence of Parisian neighborhoods, from the artistic vibe of Montmartre to the historic charm of Le Marais.
The competition began on June 7th, with submissions open until June 27th. After the submission period, public voting will occur, followed by a DAO vote to decide the winners. The top nine entries will each receive 3,000 SAND and be showcased on the Paris Estate. Those ranking 10th to 15th will earn 500 SAND and be featured on The Sandbox’s LANDs.
Key dates for the event include a live AMA session on June 12th to discuss the City Jam and the final announcement of winners on July 26th. Creators must use The Sandbox’s no-code Game Maker software and ensure their games adhere to specific rules, such as using the latest software version and keeping the game size within 1×1 dimensions.
To participate, creators must submit their games through The Sandbox’s Game Maker Gallery or directly on the map. They should also join the Creators Forum to stay informed and seek assistance from experienced staff and fellow creators. The forum will also facilitate public voting and discussions.
