Spellborne, the pixel-art monster-catching MMORPG developed by Mon Studios, is now officially live on both Android and iOS. After being available through web browsers and an Android early release, the game can now be downloaded directly from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The mobile launch marks a major step in expanding access to its play-and-earn experience.
Good to know
Spellborne blends old-school RPG mechanics with blockchain features. Players collect creatures known as Mons, upgrade their skills, and explore the world of Celestia. Alongside turn-based battles, the game includes relaxed side activities like farming, fishing, and mining.
The mobile version makes it easier to jump into the game and earn on the go. Users can sign in using Google or Apple and begin collecting Mons, participating in PvP tournaments, and completing quests.
Just before the mobile rollout, Spellborne introduced a fishing system. Players can now catch various fish using a simple mini-game and level up their fishing skill to unlock rarer species and rewards. Items like Ambers—used in crafting—are among the possible outcomes.
The new Gold Frenzy event launched in partnership with Fishing Frenzy. For 30 days, all players have a 25% chance to earn bonus gold nuggets while fishing. NFT holders from the Fishing Frenzy game enjoy a higher 50% chance. Apartment NFT holders from Spellborne also receive bonus chests in Fishing Frenzy.
Spellborne offers play-and-earn mechanics that reward players with tradable Mons and airdrop points. These Mons can be sold as NFTs on Avalanche through OpenSea. Players can also earn $BORNE airdrop points during Season 2 by completing quests, making in-game purchases, or posting content using the #spellbornecreate tag on social media.
