As Sega gets ready to release the enhanced edition of the cherished 2011 3D platformer, Sonic Generations, fans of the franchise will have a bittersweet update. However, we’ve heard player’s feedback and we’re offering a way to play the game in its original form. The original version of Sonic Generations will still be available as part of the new Sonic the Hedgehog Legacy Bundle, including other classic Sonic titles on Steam.”
The Sonic the Hedgehog Legacy Bundle is a comprehensive collection that will retail for $59.99. This bundle will include the Sonic Generations Collection along with other iconic Sonic games such as Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 2, Sonic 3D Blast, and Sonic Spinball. “Bundle content and pricing may vary depending on region,” Sega notes.
While the updated Sonic x Shadow Generations brings new excitement, the availability of the original game through this bundle addresses concerns about game preservation.
