This initiative includes four high-profile international CS2 tournaments set to take place across India, featuring a collective prize pool of INR 14.68 Crore ($1.75 million). This significant investment marks one of Skyesports’ most substantial commitments and aligns with its mission to establish globally recognized esports IPs from India.
Skyesports will host the following major CS2 tournaments in India:
These tournaments will not only highlight Skyesports’ growing influence but will also position India as a premier destination for global esports events. Notably, the Skyesports Masters 2025, the Skyesports Championship 2025, and the Skyesports World Tour 2025 will be classified as Tier 1 events by Valve, the developer of CS2. This classification denotes the highest level of competition and prize funds, bringing top-tier global teams to India.
Each Tier 1 event will feature eight teams competing for the top prize. Additionally, Skyesports will host Open Qualifiers, allowing grassroots players from India, Europe, the Americas, and Asia to participate. This inclusive approach ensures that local talent has the opportunity to compete on an international stage, reflecting Skyesports’ commitment to fostering emerging esports talent.
Sudarshan S, Head of PC Esports at Skyesports, remarked, “Being an India-based esports company, we are able to ensure that local esports players are given a platform to showcase their skills and compete in the biggest CS2 events of the world. Additionally, we believe in the power of grassroots and that’s why we will be hosting open qualifiers across different regions globally.”
