Mocaverse has teamed up with SK Planet, a data and technology pioneer in South Korea, to offer web3 experiences to its 28 million consumers. Through this partnership, SK Planet’s platforms incorporate Mocaverse’s Realm SDK, improving blockchain-based user interaction throughout its offerings.
As the main utility token for SK Planet’s services, such as OK Cashbag and Syrup, the agreement also includes Mocaverse’s MOCA Coin. As a reward system, MOCA Coin will motivate consumers to investigate and utilize web3 services.
This agreement is a milestone for Mocaverse, an initiative by Animoca Brands. SK Planet, a subsidiary of SK Telecom, joins the ranks of Mocaverse’s notable partners, such as OneFootball and MyAnimeList. These partnerships aim to provide access to innovative web3 experiences, including games, music, and intellectual property-based products, for a combined audience of 250 million monthly users.
Mocaverse project lead Kenneth Shek expressed optimism about the collaboration, saying, “We anticipate this initiative will accelerate the flywheel of Mocaverse’s ecosystem. South Korea is a critical consumer market for web3 with a rich culture of IP and content, and SK Planet is the best partner we could ask for to kick off our collective mission in the country.”
SK Planet’s Senior Business Officer Kim Kyo-soo highlighted the partnership’s potential to enhance consumer experiences. “Through our close partnership with Animoca Brands and Mocaverse, which aims to expand customer experiences in the Korea market, we will strive to establish ourselves as an effective channel and deliver innovative solutions that resonate with local consumers,” he said.
The collaboration underscores South Korea’s growing role in the global web3 landscape. By integrating blockchain technology into widely used platforms, SK Planet and Mocaverse aim to make web3 experiences more accessible, paving the way for a broader audience to engage with decentralized technologies.
