Season 1 of Forgotten Playland Will Feature Player Progression and Custom Profiles

Share

The upcoming season of Forgotten Playland, a free-to-play social party game, is designed to boost player engagement with the introduction of a new player progression and profile system. This Beam-powered web3 game, created by Duckland Games and released by Vermillion Studios, attempts to capture players with an organized leveling system. By winning matches in the casual game mode and finishing several daily and weekly missions, players will have the opportunity to advance through a total of 60 levels.

Additionally, a new game mode called “PlushKyn Battle” has been teased. This battle royale-like mode will allow players to compete against one another, earning experience points (XP) based on their performance. The final position at the end of each match will determine the amount of XP awarded, keeping the competition thrilling and rewarding.

Unlocking Rewards through Progression

As players level up, they will gain access to a range of exciting rewards. These include cosmetics, customized profile banners, avatars, titles, emotes, and stickers. This new progression system is intricately linked to the Player Profile feature, offering players further opportunities to showcase their achievements.

The Player Profile will allow players to customize their experience by displaying various statistics and achievements. As players progress, they can flaunt their stylish profiles to others in matches, making the gaming experience more social and interactive. Key features of the profile include:

  • Level: Indicates current level, total XP, and XP required for the next level.
  • Avatar: A selection of unique profile pictures.
  • Avatar Frame: Customizable borders around the avatar.
  • Title: Displays achievements under the username, such as “Tournament Winner.”
  • Banner: A customizable section alongside the avatar that showcases the username and title.
  • Stats: Provides details on time played, matches played, win ratio, and total XP.

According to the official announcement, there will be a distinction between items purchased from the in-game store and those that can only be earned. This encourages competition among players, as some cosmetics can only be attained through tournament victories, enhancing the thrill of gameplay.

A bonus awards system is planned, in addition to profile elements and player growth. Although precise information is still being withheld, there have been indications of a “play-to-airdrop” effort. Players could be able to accrue “Fluffy Points,” according to recent mentions on Discord and Twitter, which can be exchanged for $FP tokens or other unusual rewards.

Forgotten Playland is currently available for wishlisting on the Epic Games Store; a November release is planned. In addition, users can download and enjoy the latest updates, which include new party games and more, for free on the HyperPlay web3 shop.
